Hot Hound #3 – Results and Thoughts!!

Hello dog sport fans,

It was a nice cool day for running dogs this past Sunday at Yukon Skijor & Bikejor.  Participants were welcomed to registration with a nice warm bonfire and many friendly people to make conversation with before the events got underway. The trails were fast and technical, and both were an out and back format making for an exciting race with lots of head on passing. Cynthia Corriveau took first in the 1 mile 1 dog bikejor event, coming in well under  5 minutes. Katherine Scheck made good use of her home trail advantage winning the 2 dog 2 mile in well under 9 minutes and Adam Robinson (like the dogs) enjoyed the cooler temperatures for running the canicross taking first in that event.

Participants, volunteers and spectators stayed after the race for a nice warm bonfire and potluck BBQ, despite the light rain shower.

Thank you Katherine Scheck for hosting, and Mike Simon for timing and all the other volunteers for set up and take down.
