2020 DPSAY Mid-Distance Dog Sled and Skijor Race

RACE/TRAIL OVERVIEW
The race will start at the Lorne Mountain Community Centre, go over McConnell Lake, up Alligator Lake trail, over Friday Creek to Coal Lake, down to Fish Lake and then via Bonneville Lakes to the Sky High Checkpoint. The return route will be the same minus the Bonneville Lake loop and a loop towards Mary Lake before finishing. The distance will be 50 miles for the first leg and 50-55 miles for the second leg.
.REGISTRATION AND DEADLINES
The entry fees are as follows: 100 mile sled/ski $120 and 50 mile ski: $60.
Entry Forms can be mailed to mailing address stated on the registration form, emailed to address stated on the registration form or can be dropped off at Duffy’s Pets & Tanzilla Harness Supplies in downtown Whitehorse (407 Alexander Street).
The entry form must be complete in its entirety and accompanied with full payment in order to be considered. One application required per team.
(NB: You must be a DPSAY member to take part in the race. You can become a member by filling out the race entry form and paying the required DPSAY membership fee of $15 as indicated on the form).
Registration Deadline is at the end of the day of February 26th, 2020. After that day a late fee of $50 will apply.
MUSHERS MEETING
The mushers’ meeting will take place on Saturday February 29th, 2020 at 11.00am at the Lorne Mountain Community Centre. We will provide you with more details and will answer your questions. Race Officials will be there to check the vaccines so please bring your paperwork.
This meeting is mandatory for all race participants.
FINISH BANQUET
The Finish Banquet will take place on Sunday March 1, 2020 1pm at the Lorne Mountain Community Centre.
