Distances: approx. 100km (60 miles) or 200km (120 miles)

— Dog-powered: Bikejor, Canicross, Skijor, Kicksled, Mush
–Non-Dog powered: foot, bike, ski

Cost*:
— $200 CAD for DPSAY member mushers in the 200KM race
— $125 CAD for DPSAY members of all disciplines in the 100KM race
— You must be a member of DPSAY to race. Membership is $25.

Racer: Spencer Skerget
Discipline: 100km Fat Bike
About: Spencer has experience with long distance bikepacking, including the Colorado Trail and Baja Divide. He’s looking to advance his winter event experience.

Racer: Adam Luciano
Discipline: 100km Foot (run/walk)
About: Adam has raced several summertime trail events up to 50 miles. He won first place in the 2024 MYAU marathon, tying the course record! He also took first place at the Yukon River Trail Marathon in August. This is his first winter ultramarathon!

Racer: Shalane Frost
Discipline: 100km Ski
About: Shalane is traveling from Fairbanks, AK! She holds some serious records!
White Mountains 100(miles) – 8 time women’s ski winner and women’s ski course record holder.
Arrowhead 135(miles) – 2022 ski winner; women’s ski course record holder
Drift 100(miles) – 2024 overall winner, women’s ski course record holder
Fat Pursuit (118miles) – 2025 ski winner; ski course record holder

Racer: Gerald (JJ) Frost
Discipline: 100km Ski
About: Gerald, traveling from Fairbanks Alaska, got into endurance ski racing about 5 years ago. He’s finished ultra distance (>50 km) ski races each year since then. Last season (2024), he finished a 100 miler (White Mountains 100), 55 miler (Chena River to Ridge), and 45 miler (Tanana River Challenge) on skis. He’s in fighting shape and super psyched to check out the YT!

Racer: Sara Mestrenzy
Discipline: 100km Mush
About: Sara is from Tagish Lake Kennel and this will be her first big race!
This season she’s mushed DPSAY’s 10 mile Carbon Hill race. She’s excited to see the Dawson Overland Trail!

Racer: Jill Johnson
Discipline: 100km Mush
About: Jill has called Dawson City home for the last 13 years and has been running dogs for 1.5 years.
Jill and her team are new to racing & have participated in several small community races. Recently, they made an attempt at the Yukon Quest 175, gaining valuable experience along the way. She is excited to continue gaining experience with each run!

Discipline: 100km Mush
About: Ilana has been mushing for a while and is excited to be able to hop on the runners this season.

Racer: Yann Vancayemberg
Discipline: 100km Mush
About: Yann is from Tagish Lake Kennel and this will be his first big race!
This season he’s skjored DPSAY’s Haul Road Tune-Up and has mushed in the 40 mile Carbon Hill race.

Racer: Martine Le Levier
Discipline: 100km Mush
About: Martine has participated in local and Alaskan races. She’s looking forward to having fun, meeting new people, and learning new things!

About: Manon has participated in DPSAY canicross and kicksled races.

About: Corentin has participated in DPSAY races.

Racer: Connor McMahon
Discipline: 200km Mush
About: Braeburn is Connor’s favorite checkpoint. This will be Connor’s last race before he heads out for Iditarod!

Racer: Pascale-Thérès Nief
Discipline: 200km Mush
About: Pascale has experience racing in Norway and will run dogs from Feral Racing.
