Hello everybody,

It is time for our first 2014 Yukon Brewing Twister race at the Takhini Hot Springs!

Join us for an exciting day:

– 10 am: Registrations start at Cafe Balzam
– 11 am: Arctic Winter Games trials for Junior Mushing (7km loop)
– 11.30 am: Twister Race Start, 20 km distance first (4 to 8 dogs sled or 1 to 4 dogs skijoring) followed by 7 km kids (1 to 4 dogs) and rec (1 to 2 dogs).
– Afterwards: Race results and prizes/awards at Cafe Balzam. Thanks to our sponsors Takhini Hot Springs, Bean North, Coast Mountain Sports, and the Yukon Quest.
Registration is $10 for members and $15 for non members.

The trail offers beautiful views of the Takhini Valley, is wide and sometimes challenging with some interesting uphills and downhills! Both trails are looped.
After the race, you can enjoy a soak at the Takhini Hot Springs, and/or a delicious crepe at Cafe Balzam.

And don’t forget to come out to our 2nd DPSAY Social Night this season: the River Runner Sign-Up Event on Friday Jan 17, from 5.30pm on at the Town&Mountain Pub (corner of main street and 4th Ave). At 7.30pm we will do the draw for the lucky musher to win his/her RR 120 entry fee back! Everybody that signs up until Jan 17 will be entered!
