Happy Summer, Dog Powered Sports Enthusiasts!

Come out and join us Sunday, July 21, 2013 for the second Hot Hounds race of the season. Get your bikes ready and running shoes on and head down to Mike and Jessica Simon’s place on the Mayo Road (1.2 km past the Takhini Gas Station on the North Klondike Highway). As per the usual Hot Hounds categories, there will be a 1 mile/1 dog bike-jor, 2 mile/2 dog bike-jor and 1 mile/1 dog canicross race. For those of you who are familiar with Mike and Jessica’s trails, get ready for a sandy and windy upper land race course, and for those of you who are new to the scene, come out for an awesome ride or run on these challenging yet very fun and manageable trails suitable for every level of racer.

After the race, stick around for a BBQ (Mike and Jessica are awesome and have offered to provide the food! Other contributions of food or beverages are always welcome) and for the awards. Also, it’s a great time to meet your new DPSAY board and chat about how much awesome you and your dogs are going to do this year!

Registration starts at 5pm, and the races start at 5:30pm. We anticipate that the BBQ will start around 7pm.
