Are you ready?

Things are getting exciting as we near the River Runner race day, with temperatures mild and trails fast.  Our initial trail report from the trail coordinator, Darryl Sheepway, is that the trail is great, mostly hard and fast.  He will do a final run with marking on Thursday and give his final report at the musher’s meeting.

Following Sunday’s registration deadline, a solid list of participants have their profiles up for viewing on the website.  We are still waiting to see if any skijorers will brave the 130-mile class this year, but the new 65-mile class seems like a welcome category.  Teams can register until the musher’s meeting at 6pm on Friday but now pay a $50 late fee.
