Just a quick reminder that the next event in the DPSAY Hot Hounds Race Series is only 1 week away.

 

The next race “Yukon Meat and Sausage Race Day” will be held on August 14th 2011 at Alex Rochat and Nico Dory’s place (KM 1443.5 Alaska Hwy North) in Ibex Valley.

 

We will meet at 6pm for registration followed by a quick “Mushers Meeting” then we will begin the first event.

 

Drive west on the Alaska Hwy towards Haines Jctn.

Alex and Nico’s place is located on the right hand side of the Hwy at KM 1443.5 on the Alaska Hwy (approximately 7.5 km past the Klondike Hwy cut-off, at the first sign for the Old Alaska Hwy)

 

It is a small Yellow Cabin and there will be Ballons and signs to direct parking.  

 

This Race day is sponsored by Yukon Meat and Sausage and they have provided gift certificates for the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishers in each event.  There will also be prizes available from our other sponsors, Firstmate Extreme dog food, Muktuk Adventures, Cadence Cycle, Aurora Booties, Yukon Honda, and Icy Waters Arctic Charr.

 

And following the races there will be an awards ceremony followed by potluck BBQ and Bonfire, so bring some food to cook and some drinks if you so choose and come out on August 14th to DPSAY Hot Hounds “Yukon Meat and Sausage’ Race Day to compete for some great prizes and get together with other dog folk.
